History

60+ Years of Experience

Dr. Victor Hajjar began his solo dental practice on 4th street, across from the Polyclinic Hospital in 1958. At that time there were no hygienists (the people who “clean” your teeth every 3-6 months), there were no specialists such as periodontists, pedodontists, or endodontists. Dr. Hajjar cleaned his patient’s teeth, did all his patients’ root canals and did most of his patient’s extractions. In that first year in practice, Dr. Hajjar purchased his first high speed drill. During his 4 years at Penn Dental School, the students only had belt-driven slow speeds to perform all the procedures on their patients.

With compassion and a commitment to providing excellent care to his patients, Dr Hajjar watched his practice slowly grow.

He began adding associates and hygienists to his dental team in the 70′s.  In the 80′s, “Hajjars Associates” turned into Colonial Dental Group. After several moves, Dr. Hajjar moved his practice into our current location here at 4940 Linglestown Road in 1995, the year his daughter, Tammy, graduated from Penn Dental and joined his practice.

Several wonderful dentists have joined Colonial Dental Group:

  • Dr. Pranti Tati
  • Dr. Dan Fishel
  • Dr. Anjali Shah

Several years ago, Dr. Tammy (Hajjar) del Sol took over the general management of the practice and sees patients 4 days a week.
